Currently in my bag, or 'suitcase' as it is frequently called, is a purse, chequebook, pack of tissues, hayfever tablets, Crohn's medication, Anadin, some pens, 2 lipglosses, a lipstick, a bottle of Amor Amor perfume, a hairbrush, a bottle of dog tranquilisers that I have to drop round to a friend's, some hair bobbles and a mobile phone. I carry so much shite around with me that it's ridiculous. Oh and my keys as well.

That's a GREAT purse Carrie Bradshaw gave you. I need a brown purse and most are just too big for me.

Three Mac lipsticks, credit card sized compact from Just for Redheads, two lip glosses, inhaler, $1 and a bunch of change, rosary card, two wallety-type things (small one which holds driver license, proof of insurance, health care card, credit card & debit card and thicker one which holds all my other cards: Borders, The Body Shop, etc.), the necklace I wore yesterday which I took off at the gym, so it ended up in my purse, pen, pack of gum, Tigers schedule, and my work badge (which I refuse to wear).

My Marc Jacobs bag is GIANT! with lots of pockets. I won't even get into what I could and have kept in there, but a quick look right now reveals, a water bottle(empty) my cellphone(in the front pocket) one tampon, my ipod cable(but no ipod!)and my small pink Coach wristlet which holds all my money and ID.
BUT about 2 months ago I was at the gym and I weighed myself without my purse and then with my purse and my purse was 15lbs!! I realised then that perhaps I needed to stop carrying around so much stuff every day!

Carry only the essentials in the small purse(and for the love of dogs please leave your passport at home in a safe place!!)
This is what I would put in there from your photo:
Front pocket- cellphone, work pass, keys, Nerds
Inside: Comb, lipstick, change purse with the money in it.(can your drivers license fit in that?)
No Doz
Pen
Take the safety pins out of the sewing kit and throw them in there, leave the rest of the kit at work.
